Love Letter (Jean x Reader)

Jean whispered your name, before his body started moving towards you. Your body was beat up, your eyes were barely opening. Once he was beside you, all you could feel was his body warmth. That's all you wanted. Your body was limp in his arms, his sobs were getting farther and farther away.

"Jean...please, promise me you'll live on and live a happy life without me." you told him in a low voice. He heard you clearly, his sobs started subsiding.

"Don't leave me, please (Y/N), you're all I have left." he cried out. He hugged your body tighter, not planning on letting you go.

"I love you Jean, okay? Just know that I will never leave your side. I'll protect you from up there..just..live.." your eye vision was fading, your voice barely audible.

"No, don't. Please..don't go." he whimpered. You smiled touching his cheek, wiping his tears.

"Bye Jean, I'll see you later." that was your last breath.

"C'MON JEAN! THE TITANS ARE COMING, WE CAN'T STAY HERE ANY LONGER, SHE'S GONE." Jean tried his hardest ignoring Reiner's screams.

"No, I'm not going anywhere without (Y/N)."

You can hear Reiner groan, before he pulled Jean's body.

"I SAID NO, STOP LET GO!" Jean screamed. They had no choice, but to leave your lifeless body there.

"I didn't have the chance to tell her I love her." he whispered to himself. His eyes were red from all the crying, his body weak, and sore. How could he leave without you, he didn't know what to do anymore. Reiner looked apologetically at Jean, but reached inside the walls with the other soldiers.

Everyone was devastated with your death, you were a strong soldier, but luck wasn't on your side this time. No one was more devastated than Jean. He felt guilty for your death, he put all fault on himself. He regretted it all.

Do you remember the first time we met? When you accidentally bumped into me sending my food to the floor. After that I knew we were meant to be.

You smiled at me with those pretty lips. You had the best smile to me.

After that day, I was determined. You would be mine, and only mine.

I never wanted to let you out of my embrace. I just wanted to be with you forever.

Although, it's not enough to say I love you, that was all I was able to say.

I reminded you everyday, to never forget that there's always a person one step behind you that will protect you.

But now, I have you protecting me from the heavens.

Just know, that I will never forget you, and I love you.
