"Why don't I have friends?" Yukine asked no one in particular. 

"Why did I die?" 

"We all have a reason." a delicate voice responded. 

He jerked his head to where the voice was heard. This girl a few years older than him smiled at him. Yukine went back to staring at the floor.

"who are you?" 

"(y/n)." 

He didn't hesitate to ask, "Are you dead too?" 

She simply nodded and walked up next to him. 

"Why are you so down? Aren't you happy you found a master?" she questioned.

"Why would I be happy with him. Yato is annoying and does what he likes," he paused for second narrowing his eyes, "he doesn't even care about me." 

The girl had a sad smile plastered on her face. 

"You should be glad someone even named you." (y/n) sighed. 

Yukine turned to look at her, "you don't have a master?" 

She he shook her head, a frown appearing. 

"But that's okay, I have someone to talk to now." she gave him a small smile. 

"Is this what they call, friends?"
